One last ride for me

Saturday was a perfect evening to take one last ride on our two wheeler Gold wing. Bet you didn't know that not all Gold Wings are two wheelers. We have tossed around the idea to transit our bike into a three wheeler for some time now and finally made the decision to have it done. So for me Saturday was my last ride and it was the perfect evening, warm gentle breezes, brushed our faces as we cruised through tree lined streets, glided past sandy beaches still filled with sun bronzed bodies and little kids playing in the water.
Its not that we don't like the two wheels its just a matter of judgement for safer more comfortable riding as we both get older. Having a trike these days is more acceptable that it once was, in fact, several friends of ours in  the group we ride with on Wednesdays have trikes and have not been sorry they converted.
This is what our bike will look like after it gets the face lift.. We chose the Road smith conversion kit, partly because it has a really nice size trunk, had good reviews, and according to Sweetman drove like a dream vehicle.
Tomorrow Sweetman will take his final ride to the dealer who will be doing the work, and hopefully in a few days we will have the finished product with maybe a few good riding days left.
Its kind of a bittersweet thing, sort of like having surgery and getting the jitters just before the big day. Once its over I know we will be glad we did it but right now there just that little sense of loss of something, but we will be gaining two wheels so no loss at all.

What a great idea! You will love it and you are right-better to be safe.

Love the photos and can't wait to see the new wheels.
