Think about it!!!

We all have someone in our lives who frustrates us, angers us, seems unreasonable, I could go on with many other feeling we feel around that person, and we would if not openly but secretly like to get back at them some way, or wish they were completely out of our life.

I read something today and it made me stop in my tracks, instead of getting upset, angry, frustrated or feeling like that person is out to get you, think about that one person in your life who would benefit by seeing you NOT strike back. Make a plan to minister to that individual today.
Psalm 22:6 says, "I am a worm, and no man" To think of our Lord as a worm makes me cringe but if you think about it a worm offers no resistance, it allows you to kick it, squash it with your shoe, a picture of true brokenness, a snake on the other hand rears up its head and is ready to strike back, a picture of self. Jesus was willing to become that for us... a worm and no man.
We need to convey that same message to others by being willing to turn the other cheek, walk away from harsh words and not strike back or become like the snake, but to be the worm.

James 4:6-7 "But He gives more grace, therefore it says, God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Tough to do??? Yes, but Jesus did so much more... Think about it.

Good words to think about but hard to do at times. We should practice this everyday. We do make a better impression when we do not strike back with harsh words or actions.

Yes Connie we do .And Might I add , When we resist temptation to strike back, we also walk away feeling much cleaner inside and sleep much better than we do when we strike back
