HE SAVED OTHERS.....

I just received a letter from my sweet little aunt who lives in California, I say little because she has never been very big but each time I see her she gets smaller and smaller. I think she is a total of about 4 ft. 10 in. today. She is aged but sharp as a tack and right on track with what's happening in the world. She has been an inspiration to my whole family and has faithfully been a prayer warrior for me and each member in my family. Anyway, what I wanted to share with you is this poem she sent me, I think it may have been in her church bulletin.

Himself He could not save
Without condemning me:
He chose the cross and grave,
And set me free.

Prince of all Life was He,
Creator of the spheres,
Lord of Eternity
And Time's brief years.

Rebel and slave was I,
A price upon my head:
"The soul that sins shall die,"
The edict said.

Passiontide and Easter

Swift to my help He came,
Cleaving the shining skies,
Bearing my wrath, my blame-
My sacrifice.

Freely His life He gave-
How can such wonder be??
Himself He could not save,
For He saved me.

Touched my heart, hope it will touch yours.

It does touch my heart and even more so because it's from your aunt. I remember meeting her the last time she came here. What a sweet lady!

These days when folks are quick to label someone a hero, I often think of how prayer warriors are the real heroes. They don't seek recognition, they just have a mighty faith in a Mighty Lord! :)

Nancy
That was such a touching and sweet poem (Prayer) your dear Aunt sent you. It means the world to know someone cares enough to pray for us.
