Oh yes, what you see here my sweet readers is a wonderful sweet delicate delightful delicious peach pie. If you will notice there is a piece missing, that would be because we couldn't wait to have a taste after dinner tonite so you are seeing a not so perfect pie. But let me assure you I got a thumbs up from sweet man and he is a connoisseur of sweet things.
I was just thinking of how blessed we are this time of year to have so many fresh things to eat. I have been waiting to find some good peaches from a road side stand because what you get from the stores are like cardboard. Well this past week end we were coming home from the reunion and there on this little out of the way road was a sign "fresh peaches." And I mean to tell you they were just right for making this pie.
"My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19. Have you ever pondered that verse?? (God will supply ALL our needs according to His riches) God knows our needs and His supply is endless, His riches are beyond our comprehension, even when it comes to sweet peaches, fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob, beauty to look at, friends, health, wealth, OK, not so much wealth but enough, blogging buds, the list is endless, make your own.
He provides everything, aren't you grateful for a God that understands human nature?? He created it all.
I'm very thankful for all the good things He blesses me with.
I've had a good day to reflect, slow the mind down and do things I love to do on days off work. I went early to the farmers market & got fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob (best stuff I have ever had its called "dutch love") and you can only get it from this one farmer. No, I will not reveal where it is I don't want you all rushing out to buy it all up. Where was I??
Then I took a fast walk along the channel to the pier, checked out all the fishermen and saw a few good size fish sitting in the buckets. I don't know what kind of fish but the pier was crowded with fishermen so they must have been biting. Then I walked the main street of my little tourist town and people watched as I went, most interesting thing to do. I stopped at the local "Harvest Bread Store" and got a huge free slice of Swedish rye, (they give out one free slice to everyone who stops in regardless if you buy anything or not. I did buy a loaf a white bread to make our bacon, lettuce, & tomato sandwiches. Got home and made the pie, puttered around in the yard some, did a little reading and here I am typing away.
Yup, it's been a good day, Thank You Lord!!!

Mmmmm....I am so jealous! Peach pie is my favorite! :)
Your pie looks beautiful and it sounds to me like you live in a pretty good neighborhood. I got kick out of your comment that you weren't going to say where you bought that corn so we wouldn't go and buy it all up on you. Very funny! Thanks for the laugh. It's a great way to start the day.
It sounds like a truly wonderful day and I really like peach pie, too!!
