Home made is best!!!

So last night we took a drive, and of course Sweetman being the sweetman that he is loves ice cream and that's the thing to do in hot weather is stop for ice cream. However, as we stood looking over the menu at the local ice cream shop he says to me, "we could save seven bucks and go home get out our own malt maker and make it at home".
Yup, I said lets go. After all now that I have decided to cut my working hours we do have to start thinking more of the budget. (what there is of one.)
Any way here it something that we have had for years and it makes the best malts. Its actually an
original, that we pull out every summer. Of course Sweetman bought it at a garage sale for a fraction of the cost that it is worth. Works like a charm.
Believe me it is heavy duty, must weight a ten pounds. Its not plastic like the ones you find in stores today. I have no idea how old it is but the metal is starting to pit, its a Hamilton beach malt maker and we had the best chocolate malt last night at home for penny's less..

What a great garage sale find! And perfect for hot weather. All about ice cream these days ;) I like yardsaling to save money too. Do you guys yardsale often? If so, I thought I'd pass along this cool site: http://www.yardsalesearch.com. It maps out a route for you and I've even noticed that you can advertise your own yardsale on there for free. Anyway, just wanted to share that little tidbit. Stay cool!
