God's plan, or ours???

"Peace!" Quiet! With a word the Savior commands and directs a storm and nature responds. No questions. No hesitations. No delay, just simple obedience. Why, oh why does it often take so much more that a word from the God of the universe to move us???Maybe it's because we don't have faith. Maybe it's because we forget. Maybe we're afraid. Maybe we have our own plan. Whatever the reason, the result is the same. God's Word = our hesitation. We get so caught up in our own world that we often miss when God is working in our midst. Could it be that is the reason we find it so difficult to respond to His Word and direction in our lives? We simply don't see?. If we truly believe that God is, in fact, God, and that His Word is truly His Word than our response to Him should be that of the wind and the waves: OBEDIENCE without hesitation.

Mark 4:39  He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
Take some time throughout the week to think back to the times when you saw God's work in your life and write them down. Then share it with someone.

What a great devotional!! The severe weather this year, all over the U.S. just pictures anew to me how God is the one in control. Egypt may be erupting in riots, and the U.S. may be wanting to stand on our heads about it but.....the massive snowfalls came and in many areas within the U.S. things came to a halt.

Yes, the day will come when EVERY KNEE WILL BOW. In the meantime my desire is to be quick to not only hear His voice....but to obey.

Good food for thought today. Thanks for the reminder.
