Surgeries and more

I haven't posted in so long I almost forgot I had a blog.

Its been a month of Doctors appointments, procedures, minor and slightly major surgeries, but I think we are finally seeing the end of the tunnel.
Many of you know I had cataract surgery that did not go as easy as I had hoped and required me to take a few days off work which I hate to do because it puts the staff so short handed but they did survive and so did I.
But in the mean time my number 2 daughter had to have two separate surgeries a week apart. One for a nodule on her voice box which did not require her to be admitted and the other a week later for cervical fusion which did require an overnight stay.
She'll kill me when she sees I posted these pictures of her just after getting out of surgery. Which she doesn't remember (they give you that good stuff that makes you forget) You can tell by the strange stare she is just a bit disoriented. Both procedures were done at different hospitals both having wonderful caring staff and she got the best care at both of them. The top picture is of the room she had to stay in overnight and it was so roomy, it had a flat screen T.V. a small couch and recliner for visitors, a huge private bathroom with tile shower. The bed would morph into a comfy chair at the push of a few buttons. They even brought her a computer to use so she could keep up with facebook friends and emails. Oh, yeah the blinds could be opened and closed by a button on her bed control. Amazing!!!
I worked in this very same hospital many years ago and we never had accommodations like motel rooms back then.

I'm happy to tell you both surgeries have been successful so far and she is recovering nicely at home.

My eye on the other hand gave me more grief than I care to mention here but today it is finally feeling much better. New drops are helping the irritation alot. I have been so grateful for all the prayers said on behalf of my self and my daughter we can both attest that we have felt the peace of God during this stressful time.

The weather even cooperated and has been so mild and spring like. As I was walking around the yard the other day I came across this primrose that is blooming. Even though it is a bit crumpled from the weight of snow it has new buds coming. Just like the life of a new baby or a new believer, or a second chance given to us by our Heavenly Father who loves us so much He gave His Son to cover our sins.

Enjoy this time of transition into spring and the Easter season.. We are so Blessed in many waysPosted by Picasa

Glad to hear that all is well. Amazing how some of the accommodations are now. I think that is really cool how you can operate the blinds from the bed.
Like how your blog looks by the way!
