Whoo Doggie was it windy

By Now most everybody has heard about how big the waves are on Lake Michigan but I just had to show you a couple of the pictures we got this morning.
People were everywhere braving the wind and the blowing sand to get a few snapshots of the lakes fury.
The water was actually higher than the pier and coming over it. No one walking on that pier today!
I think I heard that the wind speed was up to 58 mph, and the waves were 14-20 ft. Posted by Picasa

Hi, Nancy. I came by from Mari's to see your pictures. I told her we weren't as blustery over here as you guys were.

I love the lighthouse picture.

Some storm and great pictures! I thought it had cleared up here. It was a nice sunny day. I went to Wal-Mart, and just as I walked in, I saw some dark clouds. I said "I declare, I think it is going to rain again." Well, I was standing in line at the pharmacy, and it started thundering and lightening. We were all startled. I joked " As long as we don't have to go to the middle of the store or lightening strikes. Well, then lightening struck some lights up in the pharmacy and sparks flew! I told them they needed to call the fire department. This is strange weather we are having!

You got some great shots! When we were there it was raining too hard to get very good pictures.
The lighthouse picture is really nice.

I love this picture. You really did have a wild storm. I went to the live cam and watched it. It was totally awesome.
