New coat of stain on a faded house

Here's what I spent my Saturday evening doing.
We've lived in this house for nine years and it was time to add a fresh coat of stain to the accent areas of the front and side of the house giving the faded drab wood a clean new appearance.

While doing this I couldn't help but think of how our God gives us a new fresh clean heart the minute we accept His son as our Lord and Savior.

Ezekiel 11:19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them: I will remove from them a heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Isn't that funny how you can almost always
compare daily happenings, events and situations
to biblical principles. Does anyone else do this???
And yes the stain has given the house a nice fresh look not to mention the protection it will give the wood for the coming winter.

Just like the protection Jesus has given us in the promise of a new body and a new home one day!!!

Have a wonderful week end remember to thank the Lord for each new day, go and worship Him tomorrowPosted by Picasa

Funny you should mention this, because I was just getting a post ready for next week and was thinking the same thing. It shows that God's word is applicable to every area of our lives!
The new stain job will look great!

What a neat reminder of the work of Jesus in our lives. There isn't much of what we do in a day that cannot be a lesson of Gods' care and grace.

Oh yes, God speaks to me all the time with the daily things I'm doing and seeing. Love the new bluer look.

Add me to the list of those who apply God's principles to every day scenarios. :)

I only seem to apply those Biblical principals to every day life when I'm walking with the Lord and thinking of Him more. When I let other things crowd in, then I lose that.

Thanks for sharing!

Nancy, When my computer crashed (two times) I lost your blog. I finally thought of going back over my comments and looking for the people I had followed before the crash. I found your comment and tracked you down. I enjoyed reading about the B&B you stayed in. The pictures were stunning! When people tell of ghosts, I get nervous too. I am glad to be back following your blog.
Blessings,
Cheryl
