Friends

All through life we have people who enter into our daily lives, some stay a life time and others pass by quickly, even here in the Nursing Home friendships continue.

This was a cute moment the other day that I happened to capture. One lady was walking by the other as she sat in her wheel chair, they pleasantly greeted each other. Then the one in the wheel chair said, " you look tired why don't you sit on my lap and rest" And so she did... life is good.

We have so many of these kinds of moments but so few of them are noticed by the general public. Many people have the wrong conception of what it is like working with the elderly, they are smart, lived through tough times, are tough themselves, and have wisdom gained from the trials of life. They are interesting and have a story to tell. All they need is someone to listen....

The post and picture brought tears to my eyes. We so underestimate those of age. We should pay more attention to them and the things that they know. We might all learn some very good things. Beautiful picture. connie
