These are some nice friends of ours who are down home folks. We visited them recently and took a walk around their pond trying to catch some frogs.Just big kids doing little kids stuff, don't ya know..
I think these are dahlia's, I put my hand up next to it so you can see the size. Beautiful and huge.Don't look at my hands I have not so pretty hands.

Okay, that was me that deleted that previous post. I was struggling to write just the right words.I've made comments before that end up offending someone when that is the last thing I wanted to do. EVER! What I was trying to say....
It will probably not surprise you that I looked at your hands when you said don't look. I'm bad for that. Sometimes curiosity gets the better of me. Your hands are pretty AND strong and those flowers are gorgeous.
I bet the kids would love those fish.

I think those flowers are called Dinner Plate Dahlias. (because they are as big as dinner plates) I think they are gorgeous!
Those are really big fish. And the dahlias are gorgeous.
Thanks for the comments the fish are up at the Newaygo bridge in a small park, the flowers are at our friends home. She has promised me some seeds to start my own. (smiles)
