The choices we make.

I have two different ways I can walk, one is the
straight way & the other is the crooked way.

Kinda reminds me of the choices we have to take
concerning the Lord. We can choose to walk the
straight way never looking to the left or the right,
with our eyes fixed on Jesus, or we can choose to
take the crooked way of the world that leads to
destruction and death.

There is a way which seems right to a man, But
its end is the way of death. Psalm 14:12

For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life and few are those who find it.
Matthew 7:14

My choice is often to walk the crooked way just
because it is much prettier & more interesting but once I head back & get on the straight of way
my eye catches the big red barn. Can you see it in the second picture??? It tells me I am almost back home because once I go around that last
bend in the road I have only a few steps to go to my house.

I have to get this little plug in here, the debates
last night may not have been in the greatest
favor for the McCain/Palin ticket but as I walked
I couldn't help but notice that there are many of
these signs telling me we can not lose hope yet.

This election is very important to this nation & we have got to encourage everyone to get out there to vote in just a couple of weeks. Pray about it & search your hearts to make the right decision. Do not be deceived by charisma, smooth
style, & promises that sound to good to be true.

Good post Nancy - I like to walk on crooked roads too, but don't want to take that road in life!

I agree with Mari, I need to stay on the straight and narrow, but those crooked ones are tricky:)

Your walks take you to the most beautiful scenic routes I've seen. Do you walk a lot?

Thank you for your comment on my obedience post. You are an encouragement to me.

These words and pictures are very nice, too. I will be voting for McCain; I don't usually look to promises made, but to convictions that a candidate holds. I vote for who I think matches the closest to my own personal convictions.

Great post Nancy~ It is so easy to get on a crooked path as we live life but God is so merciful to leads us back on the straight and narrow road.

Great reminders, Nancy. We have 2 McCain and 1 McCain/Palin in our front yard and we were so glad to see they were still there when we returned home. 16 days left and we must ALL seriously pray about this election and our country.

reminds me of the verse,,, For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

as much as our choices don't you think??
