I am convinced that we are in the end times for sure and Jesus will be back to get us all soon. All you have to do is read the newspaper and check out what is going on in the Middle East, or listen to some of the younger people talk about what is important to them, not to mention the language some of them use. The weather its been crazy lately and not just here but everywhere. Did you all hear about that poor man who was hit by a car in Hartford Conn. and no one came to his aide. Indifference, complacency, its all about me syndrome, I'm gonna get all I can now attitude, who cares what it takes to get it.. I WANT IT NOW!!!!
Its all around us and even Christians are becoming sucked into the vortex of the worldly goods, idolatry if you want to put a label on it. Big houses, fancy clothes, cars, the best furniture. These are temporal remember.??
We have to be ever so diligent to be salt and light to all those around us, we have a home that is far better than any here. Its time for us to face the fact that there may come a day soon when our lives may not be so cushy soft as it is right now. Gas prices are already putting a crimp in many lives and affecting food prices, travel, how we get to work, and what we do after work. 2 tim 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous time shall come. Have you noticed the choices we have in our next President, there really are no good choices. I think perilous times are here.
1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to the seducing spirits, and doctrines of the devils.
Anyone heard of the new age religion?? or the latest Oprah Winfrey religion, or churches that entertain and just tell everyone how great they are and never speak the truths of the Bible.
Time for all of us believers to start to really be more serious about our faith, the lives we lead, the examples we set. It all points to the return of Jesus. We can rejoice in that, but need to be on our faces for the lost.. I'm not an alarmest but like to think I am a realist. Its written in THE BOOK.

I rejoice in the fact that my Jesus is coming soon! I was Blessed by the post and I am with you all the way! Hugs Lisa~
I think you are right. I'm seeing more and more that makes me think so!
I'm thinking so too and I'm ready. I say - come Jesus - come soon!
Yep! I agree! Great post!
Mark and I were just talking about this too. I agree that Jesus is coming soon.
Nice post Nan! You are right in so many ways. God will come soon. Not sure when it is but things seem to lead that way.
You are right, Nancy. Look up for thy redemption draweth nigh. And pray ~
thank you for the post Nancy,
and for the reminder that we need to be about the Father's business, and living like true Christians..in the way we talk and act and the examples that we set...
we need to be ready!!!
I believe we need to live our lives for Him whether He is coming soon or coming later. One thing is for certain, He's definitely coming back!
I think for those of us who are younger, we don't notice it as much because we haven't seen the changes as much. But older people I've talked to have said how these calamities and chaos never used to happen so frequently. They said one disaster in ten years was a lot. Now we have earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsuamais, terrorist attacks, all within a few months sometimes.
And I agree about the attitude too. Everything is about me, me, me. Even the "new religions" are about self. "God doesn't care what you do as long as you have love." Not quite. The scary thing is that they don't go completely against the truth, they just parallel it so it can slip right by people. Those "love wins" stickers really irritate me because the people who have them belong to the church that is teaching that kind of thought pattern. I would like a sticker that says "truth wins" because although Jesus said that nothing you do matters unless you do it with love, I have a hard time believing he would agree that it doesn't matter what you do as long as you have love for each other.
Anyway - sorry for the long answer, this is just an issue that has really been on my mind lately. And although no one knows the time that Christ will return, it definitely feels like the labor pains of the earth are speeding up.
Thanks for this post!
you preached it real good, sister! i so agree ...
it is the birth pangs ... even the earth is groaning ... and the blind are getting blinder and leading so many down that path of no return ...
how can we be more diligent?
Nancy, I agree with everything that you've said here. You are right on. Everything written in the Word is coming true so we should not be surprised. Well said.
I appreciate your visit today and your kind words. I've never been to your blog before, but I plan to come back! It's nice to make your acquaintance!
Amen, Amen!!! And we, the Bride of Christ, better be getting ourselves ready. There is such a calling and a stiring among God's people right now. But we are also warned "Not to be deceived". The word says, "When Christ returns will He find faith." We need to be sure we are not one of the 5 foolish virgins with no oil in our lamps.
Susan
Great post! He may be coming soon, or it may be longer than anyone thinks - only He knows for sure. But, we need to live every day as though it was our last so we will be ready to meet Him when He does come. We need to be like the 5 virgins that were prepared, not those 5 that thought they might have time. We weren't promised tomorrow and we need to live our life as though there may be no tomorrow.
I so agree...things are changing so fast....I am Rapture ready.
