This and That but not much of anything!!!

Have you ever started a project got side tracked and wonder why,oh why, does it take me forever to get anything done??? Today was one of those days, I had the day off and didn't really have plans to do any one thing in particular but enjoy my coffee while watching the orioles chase each other around and do a bit of reading.

I recently changed all the bedding on our bed but for some reason the sheets just didn't feel right, ( Scratchy like) we have been so used to the fleece sheets we use all winter long that regular ones take some getting used to again. Anyway,I took them off and then sweet man said,I think we should flip the mattress, so with his help we did that but that led to taking the bed skirt off and the mattress pad and the comforter, I don't need to tell you what a big pile of laundry I have now building. So now the washer is enlisted in frantic wash mode for all of the above and more. Of course with all the bedding gone the dust bunnies are very visible so out I get the vacuum and start attacking the area behind the bed and under it that is so easily missed on a regular basis. I now have a big mess in the bedroom and look up thinking what have I started?? so much for the leisure day of coffee drinking, reading, and watching the birds.. In my glance upward I now see the dust collecting on the ceiling fan and the lights attached to the fan.

This is all out war but I need something to stand on to take the lights apart to wash them and dust the fan... Oh the work I made for myself today!!!!
But in all reality once it was all done and clean I felt like I had at least one room in this house thoroughly cleaned and did get a sense of accomplishment that I did something productive, not that drinking coffee, watching birds and reading isn't such a bad thing it just doesn't get the house clean. Oh yes, and those scratchy sheets I put them in a pile to give to Love INC. which started another project of decluttering. I have two huge garbage bags, one box,and a grocery bag of stuff packed in the car to drop off tomorrow, but I won't go into that endeavor now I'll save that for another day.. Just can't understand why I can't get one thing at a time done before going on to the next. What used to take me a couple of hours now takes a whole day!!! Do any of the rest of you have this problem???

Oh yes - I do this too. Whenever I start something, I see more things that need doing and I hop from one to another. When it's all done though, you do feel good! Think how good that bed will feel tonight!

You know, maybe you can hear the birds between the vacuume going on and off. LOL

It does feel good to get stuff done. I cleaned to kids rooms today, scanned some pics and put on blog. Went to a baseball game, came home, made myself some broccoli, baked potato and garlic shrimp.--So yummy!

For me, it all depends on what the chore is. It it's something I don't like, I procrastinate. I'd really much rather be doing something I like!!

That always happens to me--daily, I get several things going at once and forget what I started doing in the first place!

I'm sorry that I can't relate to any of this post of yours. I just get the maid to do all those things that you've written about. Oh wait a minute! I am the maid! hahahahah Go figure! Seriously, though, to answer your question, YES!! Most definitely I have those kind of problems more often than I'd like to. It keeps us young though, yes?

Boy do I!!!! I can't wait for the complete healing of my knee so I can tackle cleaning at my house. I told the kids Mother's Day at my daughters "If you want to see my house dirty (they always say it never is) just come look at it now!!!
