THEIR BACK!!!!

I look forward every spring to see the orioles and hummers return and it is always just about this time that we start to see them. Yesterday was the first that we noticed the orioles, so any day the hummers will show up. If you have feeders or for them better get 'em out, if you don't have feeders oranges slices will attract the orioles they love friut.
These birds are skittish and hard to get pictures of, every movement chases them away until they become used to the area. This feeder hangs on my deck outside of my slider off my kitchen so we are always moving around inside. It takes the birds a few days to become used to visiting it in comfort.

I would love to see one of those orioles! I haven't seen them around here. The prettiest birds we have are the yellow finch.

Today I took pictures of a robin. Talk about attitude!

Very nice! It is fun watching God's creatures move about. I always enjoy the birds, deer, bunnies, ducks on the pond and a blue heron will come eventually. What is it that Lavonne called those blue Heron's?? Teridactyl.

My hubby saw the first hummingbird yesterday and made his red sugar-water last night and filled the feeder. He has his Blue Bird house and Marten house up too. He keeps the bird feeders up all winter.

Found your blog from Sandra...who is now in South Africa.. Anyway, never before has an Oriole visited our backyard bird stations, but this year we have 2 beauties. They are both very comfortable now, it took me days to get a picture of just one and he was drinking from my hummingbird feeder. http://ladolcevitaleann.blogspot.com/2008/05/backyard-bird-humming-bird-i-dont-think.html They are so beautiful. Love your blog, I'll be back to visit often.
Blessings, LeAnn
