Fun Friday with Friends

We spent a couple of fun hours this evening with some friends we haven't seen for months. They have recently moved into a condo and invited us over for the evening.

These two are a very musical couple and enjoy playing this huge does everything except the dishes organ. So of course we got to listen to what sounds like a full orchestra at times depending the the settings they program into this computerized beautiful music machine. Did I mention the fact that this organ looks like the inside of an airplane cockpit with so many buttons and tabs, not to mention the lights, it was like having a laser light show with great music on a huge dashboard.

John likes a variety so he played for us "Any Time" and "The girl from Ipanema" while Sharon gave us a zippy rendition of "When the Go Marching In"

We chatted, laughed alot,& talked about old friends, around the table while stuffing ourselves with delicious strawberry shortcake from Sharon's kitchen.

They are great friends and we thank them for having us over.

Not having any musical talents ourselves its fun to see someone using theirs and having the gift of sharing, their mommas must have raise them right...

God places some really nice people in our lives sometimes.

And...the bonus is that they are "musical"...that's always fun too!

I love organ music. You must have had a wonderful evening being entertained by such professional people. That organ looks like it cost a lot of moola! It is so nice to have friends who enjoy music, talk and food (oh, yes, food!)
