DID YOU EVER WONDER??

Many posts ago I talked about the "Truth Project" that our small group is watching and I promised to fill you in from time to time. We took the whole month of March off because some of the group had the opportunity to travel or go south for the winter months but we're back on track now and watched the fifth series last Sunday evening. We tackled the area of science and how so much effort has been and is still being put into trying to take God out of the equation. This is a world view battle-- a battle that is much deeper than a scientific theory-Evolution destroys any foundation for a standard of ethics or morality-man has exchanged the truth of God for a lie (evolution) so that he may be free to follow his inner desires.
The Bible says:
The heavens declare the glory of God the skies proclaim the work of His hands,
Day after day they pour forth speech
Night after night they display knowledge
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard
Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4
The argument is design vs. Randomness. Did you ever wonder how a humming bird can beat its wings 60 times a second, fly backwards, fly 27 miles and hour and come to a complete stop in the wink of an eye?. Did you ever wonder how you can feel the wind but not see it?. Did you ever wonder at the complexity of the human mind? Is it a result of randomness??? Or created by the hands of God??? The more science discovers the more it points to design by creation. But the world is blinded and refuses to believe.
There are some well known people like, Oprah Winfrey who are trying to say she has taken God out of the box but in fact she has put Him in the box. She is promoting a man made religion that is leading hundreds down a path of destruction. May God help them all.
The fool says in his heart there is no God. Psalm 53:1
Keep wondering at the marvel of creation the hands of God has made, Keep thanking Him for the beauty in nature, the colors of the rainbow and the promises He has left for us to read in His word and believe, and keep praying for the thousands that are out there looking in all the wrong places for a god they can't find because they put Him in a box.

This is a great post Nancy. I like what you say about putting God in a box. I never thought about it that way, but that is what they are doing.

You are so insightful- I loved this post.
It's so true about Oprah- that is such a scary thing. People just blindly accept what she says as truth. So sad.

isn't it amazing how those that say they don't believe in the God of the bible, still spend so much time trying to disprove Him and His power ...

I loved your post. One of my biggest pet peeves is evolution and so many people - including pastors and christian colleges- are falling for that lie. I do not understand how people can not believe in creation when you look at how technological our whole universe is. Besides, I'd rather be created in God's image than say I came from a monkey or 1 celled organism.
