WFMW

I haven't done "works for me Wednesday" for some time now but I ran across a few tips recently that thought would be worth sharing.

Did you know that peppers with three bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating raw. Peppers with four bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.

Now, if you found that little bit of info something that will really change the way you use peppers, this next little tid bit is even better.

Were talking about the lovely little clove of garlic next. If you add garlic at the beginning of a recipe you will have a lighter taste of garlic, add it at the end of your recipe and you will have a stronger taste.

I have one more item to address, this is about deviled eggs. We have all had the mess of scooping out the yokes mixing them in a separate bowl with what ever ingredients that you use to spice it up and then the messy chore of stuffing that into the nicely halved egg. Well, to make it a bit less messy put the yokes into a zip lock bag, seal and mash until they are all broken up, add the rest of your ingredients and continue to mash til every thing is all mixed. Cut the tip of the baggie and squeeze the mixture into the halved eggs. Throw the bag away when done for easy clean up.

Good tips - I have been doing the egg one for a while now, but never knew that about peppers.

Very interesting tidbits. Shawn likes to make the deviled eggs, so we have fun making them together and he likes this thing that we put the yolk goop in. Then squeeze the trigger and can pick the design that it makes. Kinda fun! Even if there is a mess. LOL

I like that deviled egg bag trick! I will have to try that one. I wonder if my egg will be creamy? I guess it depends how long I want to smush, huh?

I don't care much for peppers, but I am so thankful for the deviled egg trick. I will use it from now on.
