Complain, Complain

Its been awhile since I written a post, I'm not sure why, I guess I can claim writer's block, or maybe winter blues, or just not in the mood... all sound like good excuses to me. No, I am not depressed that is one thing I rarely get & bored is another that just isn't in my vocabulary. I get tired of a routine but not bored or depressed.
The routine that I am most tired of right now is the weather pattern that we seem to be in here in Michigan. Yikes. I can't remember a winter with this much snow & it just doesn't stop. We don't even get a decent thaw, it was 47 yesterday but we had so much snow that very little of it left us. I did see the pavement driving home from work & that was something to behold. However, that was only on the main roads, all the side streets & any secondary roads were a mess with mixture of slush, ice, dirt, & huge amounts of standing water, oh ya, big puddles!!! Going to work in the mornings has been a taking your life in your own hands that are white knuckled molded to the steering wheel of the car. I'm so thankful for four wheel drive but on ice that is pretty much worthless, did I mention going sideways down the road is becoming the norm... I do have some thoughts I want to post on our latest Bible study but I had to get my complaining about the weather done first. Any of you who are in the lovely part of this country or any other country where the sun is shining & the gentle breezes are blowing a soft Warm air on your brow send us poor folks here in winter wonderland some of your balmyness, (is that a word?) anyway do what ever you can to help us snow bound probably forever people to remember what something green & lush looks like.. I'm beginning to think I will never see green again.. Alas, I will spend another day inside keeping warm sipping coffee or hot chocolate & eating bon bons, someone has to do it

I've had enough too! I came home today, Bob had the day off and I growled when I came in the door. He said "whats that for"? I said I am so sick of snow! I'm not looking forward to going in tomorrow again!

I feel so sorry for all of you, my friends, who live in Michigan and have to put up with this weather!

I was just saying to my husband the other day when you were getting one snowstorm after another, I really feel for the people in Michigan. As I watched the weather map and your area, the storms seemed to hover over you and not leave and if they did, along came another. This will be a winter to remember for sure!

Drive carefully and stay safe! Spring is coming!

Oh, dear, I'm sorry, I would feel the same way. And it is awful to have to go out in it, as you and Mari do. We are all looking forward to springtime.

I'm so sorry Nancy, you and Mari have been hit with snow like crazy. Enough is enough, bring on the spring weather already.

I hope and pray the winter storms die down, it's been a bit too much.

Hugs,
SAndra

I agree. I don't like the snow anymore. Plus, when it does melt, the road underneath is just torn to pieces - there are potholes everywhere!

Soon and Very soon we are going to have spring! You know what? I did see a little green grass on our warm day on Saturday. It was where the plow had moved too much snow and it looked nice!
I also was thinking, yeah, we get tired of snow, but, we don't have the hurricanes and whatnot. But, we can still get sick of it! LOL

I think we need the snow to fill in the potholes! :)
Could I come and join you for some bonbons and hot chocolate?

I know exactly what you mean and *cling* to the knowledge that as each day passes we are that much closer to Spring! Thankfully, this morning we were able to enjoy sunshine!

This too shall pass but my heart does go out to you that deal with these harsh winters. I am blessed in that we have very light winters here in Oklahoma. It's our hot summers that are hard. Guess you swap one for the other.
