More of the "Truth Project"

I imagine the Garden of Eden might have looked something like this picture but my imagination is limited by what I know. It was probably absolutely fabulously astonishing beyond description.

Were studying about "who is man & what is evil"? in our small group, following the DVD series of the "Truth Project" put out by, Focus on the Family.

Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him.

Enter Evil, which took place in that beautiful garden, and now man has been changed.

He has fallen but even in that fallen state, man still carries the image of God. Man is now in a different state or mode & can not possibly enter into the gates of Heaven in this fallen state. He is dead, blind, Lost, deaf, & yes evil. If you ask anyone on the street to define what evil is you will get a dozen or more different answers. The world sees evil not as sin because if it was sin then it would be an admission that there is a God who can take that sin away. Today the emphasis is not on sin at all but on good or bad. And the world even questions if there is anything beyond the grave. So if that is true what's the big deal about sin??? Titus 3:3 once we too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. No wonder God destroyed mankind with the flood. The Bible tells us one day, "Every knee shall bow before me and every tongue will confess to God. Romans 14:11 That applies to the secular world and to the believers.

The Bible tells us that the essence of man is, that he is made in the image of God dualistic both flesh and spirit, his moral state is fallen nature, and his need is redemption. Man needs divine grace regeneration and redemption. If he is not changed from this state or mode he remains in this lost state with no hope, rebellious, desperately wicked, and suffers an eternity separated from God. We as believers place our trust in the Living Savior of Christ and the blood that was shed for us so that our sin is not seen by the Father, there fore we are redeemed and do have access to Heaven.
We have promises from the Bible John 14: 2-3, In my Father's house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Jesus, said "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6.

There is much more to the study than this and I have touched only on a small portion of what we shared. Needless to say I really enjoy these sessions and the discussions that follow not to mention the good fellowship with some of God's saints.

I am glad that ther is a room being prepared for me. I am glad that we have a heavenly place to go when we end this life on earth. Also, that picture looks like a scene from Sea World in Orlando. It reminds me of one anyway.

That's a beautiful picture! Wouldn't you love to live there? How are you enjoying this Bible study. I know my Bible class will be looking for more ideas for next year. Would this be good for a larger group of ladies?
