Gales of November
November tends to rear its' ugly head on the big lake & it is always exciting to go take a few pictures of the activity of the fierce waves that the wind kicks up.
I like to do this through out the winter months to but today I had to work so my husband did the deed of braving the winds and pelting sand to take a few snap shots of the pier with the crashing waves. I think these were snapped from the comfort of the car because he said the wind was so strong that the spray from the water was getting on the lens of the camera.
Its amazing to see storms in action on the lake & gives one a better respect of just how wild it can get, & gives a person a healthy view of the dangers of getting to close or walking on piers in inclimate weather.
Kind of like warnings we get from our heavenly Father. Don't walk on the edge you either believe or you don't.

Tell Ray he did good with the pictures. It is amazing to see the storms on the lake. It is beautiful in all seasons!
Wow. Those pictures are beautiful! I read in the paper that they're thinking of instituting a fine for people who walk on the pier in that kind of weather. I think that's a great idea, because when they do that it puts the life of whoever is going to have to come save them in danger too. I'll keep enjoying the view from here!
I'm really impressed- those are great pictures. I don't blame him for taking the pics from the car- it was so windy yesterday!
Great pictures! The wind was crazy yesterday! I heard that some of the waves were reaching 15 feet!!!
Ray did a great job, I love to watch the power of the wind and waves.
