Another great Bible study night with all my wise & wonderful small group, we tossed around the meaning of the divine transcendence of God & His omnipresence. We all came to the conclusion that we can in no way really wrap our limited minds around this with complete understanding, but can also at the same time know that we are His & that one day we will learn the answers to these most perplexing questions.
One thing we became more aware of is that God is in fact with us no matter where we are, what we are doing, saying, thinking, you get the idea. I think most believers know this but forget when we are going about our daily activities that He is with us constantly!!! How many times have I said something, or done something before thinking about how it would sound if I was speaking directly to God, because that is what happens every time I make a rude comment or do something that I think will not be noticed. God does notice & who is more important than God? This can be a comforting thought & very convicting at the same time.
Whenever God appeared to men in Bible times the results were the same--an overwhelming sense of terror & a wrenching sensation of sinfulness & guilt. Men fell on their faces in reverence & awe, something we have lost in today's world. "The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life" but this healing fear is today hardly found among Christians, we have somehow lost this reverence toward our creator. Needless to say the discussion was very stimulating & eye opening & growing experience in my walk with the Lord.

Nancy, your blog is looking very pretty. I like what you said in the Bible study. Sometimes I just have to apologize to God for saying something. But I am thankful He is always with me. Yes, many people today have lost all fear of God!
I agree with you Nancy,
I am afraid that we as a Christian people have forgotten what an Awesome God that our God is,and we do not have the fear of the Lord that was experienced in the Bible times....and God does notice what we say and what we do at all times.....
thanks for the reminder
Wow. Thanks for the reminder. If we could keep that in mind all the time I think things would be a lot different. I know my tongue would be a lot quieter.
I love the photo on top of the pumpkins and corn - very pretty!
I agree with Laura- There would be many many times when I should think before I speak!
Wow - that's a great reminder. I know my mouth would be a lot quieter if I thought about that more often.
Love the new picture!
