Royal treatment

Someone once told me I was spoiled, I think it was my sister, who I rarely see, but anyway I didn't really agree with her at the time, but today I can truly say, Yes, I am spoiled. I'm the first born out of five kids, and I don't think any one of us were spoiled by our parents. At least not as in the way kids are today, I just had to throw that in...

Its my day off and my wonderful husband, you see in the first picture, is treating me with the royal treatment. We slept in and woke up to a slightly overcast but very mild temperature fall day. I leisurely had coffee and then as you can see he cooked a great gourmet breakfast. Now, that's royal treatment and getting a bit spoiled.

He often likes to make a big breakfast when we are both home on mornings that neither one of us has to go anywhere right away. One of my favorite things to do is eat a late leisure breakfast either at home or out. So today was kinda special.

He fixed hash brown potatoes seasoned with green peppers and onion, maple flavored sausage patties, eggs easy over, toast,(I had whole wheat), O.J. and coffee. The smell of those potatoes sizzling in the pan was heavenly.

Here it is all in the making.

Have I mentioned that I really like my days at home?? I think if you have followed my blog at all you know I enjoy my free time ALOT...Anyhow, I have had a quiet day just what I needed to catch my breath. I ran a few errands, went to the store, got gas for the Jeep, took a few pictures that I may use on the blog, and sent out birthday cards to my sister and my granddaughter.

I also made homemade granola in the crock pot. I don't remember who posted it on slow cooker Thursday, but I love granola and the store bought kind just never quite hits the spot, so when I saw this recipe I decided it can be custom made to my liking. So far it I think its going to live up to my expectations. You probably will think I'm weird but I mix it with vanilla yogurt and that is my lunch at work along with an apple that I cut up land put just a touch of salt on. Sounds like I'm fixed on food today but really I'm not I just to brag up what a great guy I have. The Lord has blessed me with a very special man and I wanted you all to know how great he treats me and that I appreciate him... Until tomorrow, don't forget to ask a question for backward WFMW.

Wow. My tummy is grumbling and that looks so good I think I'm drooling at my desk!

You definitley desererved it though after working so hard with your regular partner in crime gone!

You do have a great guy, and isn't it amazing what a difference it makes in your whole life?

I find myself looking at other people's marriages and just thanking God so much for blessing me with such an awesome husband. I don't know how I deserve him, but I can't imagine anyone else!
