Crash Friday again!!!

Hey, Its crash friday again, only this friday I'm not in the crash mode.. I had the pleasure of spending a quiet morning with my coffee & reading the Word. Don't you find that if you just take a few minutes a day to read a few passages & do a little reflecting that the whole day takes on a different view ?

I took a few pictures as I wandered around the yard early this morning & tried to see things as God sees them. Even this ole' culivator with weeds all around it looked beautiful in the dappled sunlight. We so often take the common things around us for granted that we forget to marvel at the awesome gifts we have been given to enjoy.

"The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, the World, and all who live in it"
That includes us!!!

Do you realize that we have everything if we have the peace & joy of the Lord within our hearts.???
What a great way to start the day!!!! So today wasn't so much a crash friday for me, it was a great friday!!!

I even had the time to make a great dinner for us this evening & that felt good because we usually throw something together real quick or go out & grab a bite. Now, alot of you will say that's great but when you eat out to much it tends to add to the hips & after awhile all the food starts to taste the same. You know all the menus at the restaurants & have tried all the meals on it. Being empty nesters its almost cheaper to eat out then to buy groceries & fix it at home. But tonite the meal really hit the spot.. I may not even need to make popcorn, & that is almost a nightly ritual for me. I have this addiction to microwave popcorn & consume a whole bag myself at least every other night. My husband has his dish of ice cream & I have popcorn.... Do you think we are in a rut or what!!!!

"I AM a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valley"

Yup, that's what this is, ain't it pretty???

I have a very good friend & co-worker who has challenged others bloggers to write about their childhood memories so I am going to work on that. For some reason I can't seem to remember alot of my childhood days. But maybe if I browse through some old pictures I will be able to put something together.. I didn't have a bad one so that isn't it.
I will have dig deep into the past to see what I find. Till next time, stop & smell the roses & thank God for everything He provides!!!!
