I'm wondering ???

First you'll be happy to know I have a new washer, I won't go into the second shopping spree we had find it but I have one and we'll leave it at that.

I was outside this evening thoroughly enjoying the warm breeze blowing in my hair, smelling the earth warm up, listening to the birds and seeing an occasional squirrel skitter about the yard, thinking what is my favorite time of day anyway???

I'm not really a morning person even though I have to get up at the crack of dawn to get to work, but in the summer especially on my days off I love to enjoy a leisure cup of coffee and sit on my deck listening to the day wake up, you can literally hear the activity around you intensify as people get moving, traffic noises start up even at a distance for me because I live off the beaten path but the sounds can be heard, occasional honk of a horn and neighbor kids playing outside, lawn mowers and sounds of people just doing people things.

But the evenings..... ahhh, now I think that is more my time of day. As I was cleaning out some more flower beds tonite, I felt like it was just me and God out there. There is something peaceful about the evening as the day is winding down, no rush to get anywhere, no major chores to get done, or projects to start. Kind of a settling down time, a time to enjoy what is left of the day, to think about and pray about the people in your life and to thank God for all He has done for that day. I can sort of unload the worries of the day and let it all go. I call it the tween time, not quite dark and not day anymore. And then after dark this time of year the peepers start singing, or chirping. I'm not really sure what they are maybe tree toads or little frogs, I call them peepers, but if you live anywhere near water you can hear them from spring all through the summer. I fall asleep listening to them, the sound has a calming effect on me. Its a sign of warmer weather coming, Yeah, I think I like the evenings best.
