Now you see I do have some lovely hydrangeas, even if I have morning glories that are reluctant to bloom. This is my one plant that flowers at least every year so far. I do have another that is just a green bush. As I was working out in the garden today the sun hit this bush & it just seemed to glow. It was like God was saying to me look at me & see what I can do to an ordinary plant. Its kind of like what He does to us, we are just ordinary people, trying to make a living, raise families, struggle with budgets, & raising gas prices, take a vacation once in a blue moon, try to eat right & stay healthy, help out someone else once in awhile & in general just live one day at a time & take what comes our way with stride. But if we don't have God to do the directing we will never glow with the spirit of the Son. 2 corinthians 2:15-16, says "For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved & among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life".
What a great verse that is to think that we as ordinary people in this world are actually a pleasing aroma to God & to those we touch here on earth.!! Now I know for a fact that I don't always smell so good but even when I stink, my God is there to wash me off with His grace & to give me a pat & tell me to keep persevering in His grace & strength. That is the only way I can keep glowing & smelling fragrant.
