Road Trip

Last weekend Sweetman and I decided to take a quick road trip you know a little get away, some R&R and do what ever we wanted. Everyone should to it once in awhile, life gets to complicated and complex so getting away is essential for good mental health. Not to mention taking advantage of the last few nice days before the snow flies. Yikes did I really say that??
Check out this leaf in Sweetman's hand anyone know what kind of tree this came from??
Anyway we drove down into Indiana's Brown County, its known for its cute little towns kinda folksy, quaint and country like. We don't usually get into the tourist trap shops but we did wander around downtown Nashville and checked out several of the stores. Many of them feature crafts that are made locally by the store proprietors, or near by artists. We ate in one of the restaurants called "Muddy Boots" and had muddy bean soup flavored with fresh herbs grown just outside the entrance. We listened to live blue grass music as we dined in this cozy rustic place. It was all fun.

The other thing we like to do is drive the hilly winding roads in the area, finding covered bridges or trails to explore the woods. You can see we did find a couple of them. Some still usable and others not.

This one is just outside a little town called, Bean Blossom, isn't that the cutest name for a town? We had to drive down a narrow 9 degree down hill dirt road to get to it, but it was worth it.

This is what some of the roads in the back country look like but we drove the sports car so we didn't take any of them to see where they went.  You need a jeep to do that.  It was relaxing and enjoyable for both of us.
