Herb garden with some neat information

I love to have fresh herbs handy to use in my meals. I found this at our local nursery the other day and couldn't resist buying it.
It has four of my most favorite herbs, flat leafed parsley, basil, cilantro and chives.
I actually grow a few in my herb garden outside and love using thyme, marjoram, sage, oregano, and nasturtium, lavender, and rosemary. Herbs actually have some medicinal benefits like basil:
Fresh basil leaves are an excellent first aid remedy for warts, insect bites and
rashes. The leaves are the source of the antibacterial essential oil which gives basil it's uplifting aroma, and is the bane of insects as well. This is really handy when you are out tending to the summer garden, and are bitten. Just snip a few basil leaves and rub them on the itch for immediate relief.
Or cilantro:
Cilantro is more than a culinary spice, it is a naturally healing food. When cilantro is added to the diet along with other natural immune system boosters like garlic, omega-3 fatty acids from cold-water fish, or seed and nut oils, chronic infections can be eliminated. Many health disorders, like Alzheimer's, diabetes, and fibromyalgia have been linked to high levels of heavy metals such as mercury and aluminum in the body. There are both scientific studies, and anecdotal evidence to support cilantro's reputation as a powerful depurative. . Cilantro is a tasty, healthy herb, easy to grow, and readily available at most grocery stores, try making some pesto or adding it to soups or salads.
Rosemary is another one: Rosemary has a long herbal tradition as a herb that improves concentration and  memory, Greek students would braid Rosemary into their hair to help them with their exams. Modern science attributes much of rosemary's action on the central nervous system to it's potent antioxidant, rosemarinic acid. However, you don't have to take their word for it, the uplifting aroma of a fresh sprig of rosemary in the summer will go far to convince you. And it marries well with pork dishes.Ok just one more Oregano: Oregano ranks first amoung the culinary herbs in antioxidant power. Takinoregano in teas, and using the fresh leaves in cooking helps to protect the body from harmful free radicals. Rosmarnic acid, a constiutent of oregano thought to be a strong protective against cancers, heart disease and stroke. I like to use herbs mainly for their flavors they give to the foods and you don't have to add so much salt or other seasonings that are not so good for you.Do any of you use herbs and if you have some recipes?? I would love to hear what they are.
