Epitome of a slacker

Here you have the epitome of a slacker!!! No really he has a good reason. Yesterday the poor man had surgery on his Lt rotator cuff which was torn quite severely.
He has this elaborate cumbersome arm sling with an added feature of a cyro cuff ice cooler that also rests over the arm sling to keep it chilled and control the swelling.  Pain meds are the big item on the menu today and sleep is taken in short naps, partly because of the discomfort of the cumbersome sling. Oh, ya I forgot in that mess some where is also a pain pump that is attached directly into the incision to keep the pain level down.
All in all things went fairly well, now just the recovery time, therapy and hopefully return full range of motion.
Many  thanks to all the prayers that were sent heaven ward and continue to be lifted on Sweetman's behalf.Posted by Picasa

I can see that that get up is pretty uncomfortable.
We'll keep praying.

Glad he is this far with surgery and recovery. I just talked to a man who had this surgery 3 weeks ago. He is scheduled for therapy the end of January. I have a name of a very good therapist if you would be interested. He is at Campstowne in Allendale. I go to him for my hip problem.

By the sound of this post, he is in terrible pain! I will pray for him. If it helps any, I sleep in one of those chairs too. It always helps what ails me.
