Clean slate

Don't you just love a clean sheet of paper, clean sheets on your bed with that nice fresh smell, working in the nursing home each month we have new clean medication records to chart on.
I like the smell of a new book.
Isn't starting a new year kind of the same feeling?? Ok maybe we didn't get to complete all the goals we set for ourselves from last year, or there might be some unfinished business we didn't get to finish, but now we can start all over with this year.
This year, live with confidence. Don't live in fear. Starting today, believe
with all your heart that in God's power you will not stumble.
And if you encounter a fearful situation, just keep your feet moving forward
with Jesus--He is the light of the world!
Our confidence is not in ourselves but in the One who has made us. He continues to work through our trials, circumstances, health issues, financial problems, nature and for that matter world problems that we can not see an end to. World peace?? do we think we can actually change the outcome that is already predicted in the Bible??
Aww, but He who is in us, is greater than he who is in the world.. Why can't we remember that??
We are responsible for our own actions and we need to think godly rather than worldly.
And we can not do that on our own without the strength and wisdom of God, He gave us His word to read, study, to learn more about the heart of God. Its so simple but so hard for us to do.
Colossians 2:9 " For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body" or another was to say this is: in Him dwells all the completeness of the Godhead.
Huge meaning in just a few words, could be a whole bible study just on that verse.
This year is a new year we can start with a clean slate because Jesus, has paid the price for our sins, lets live like we are forgiven and point others to our Savior with the way we conduct our lives.

You are giving such good advice - we just have to learn to lean on Jesus so we are able to follow it.
Without God's grace we can't do it!
