Nothin Like It!!!!

I must be on a blue berry kick or somthing

I just had to show you what I did on my day off, I felt like Betty Crocker, or maybe it was Pioneer Woman, who ever, anyway I decided to make a pie with the berries we picked a few days ago.

I haven't baked a pie from scratch in a long time and I know making a good tasty untough crust takes talent. But anyway I didn't feel like running to the store to get one of those premade crusts so I made it crust my self. ( I first consulted with my sister-in-law who is always making pies on the tricks of the trade) she gave the load down on how to have the crusts turn out light and flaky.
Here it is just waiting for the oven to do its thing.

I must say my grandma would have been proud of me. She would make 3-4 pies a day and have them all done by 7am. No, I didn't make this one at 7am, it was more like about noon.

Here's the finished masterpiece!!! I love it when the juice gets all bubbly over the crust like that
And it tastes really good even the crust!!!! I may just have to try this again real soon..Posted by Picasa
