ALMOST FORGOT

I almost forgot to tell you about a fun filled day with kind of a funny twist to it. Last Tuesday was my day off and also my birthday. So it started out with having breakfast with my two daughters and one of the granddaughters. They presented me with a beautiful neck scarf that is all the rage now, and Bigby gift card that will surely get used because I'm all about having a great cup of java. Sweetman joined us and we had a great time together.

Then I whisk the daughters off to the airport for trip to California to visit with our sweet little 89 year young Aunt who recently had knee surgery and the girls wanted to make sure she is recovering as well as has been reported. This will be the first trip the girls have ever taken with just the two of them so it will be a great time for them to catch up with each others lives since leaving home and having families of their own.

We waved them off about with smiles and giggles like school kids on a field trip.

The rest of the day I spent with my sister at the annual wreath making event that takes place every year for about the last four years. Last year was my sisters first time going to this event and before she even got started she managed to cut her finger so bad that she needed stitches later that night so we all held our breath hoping history didn't repeat it self and it didn't.

It happens to be sisters that put this event on so this is the funny connection in this post we have sisters traveling together, sisters hosting an event and sisters attending the event. We were the first to arrive so by the time we were done making our wreaths more ladies were beginning to arrive which made room for the next bunch of girls who were also sisters.

This is my wreath before I added any bows. Sorry its a bit blurry I must have moved.

I was trying to come up with a scripture that would tie this all together but couldn't think of one, if any of you have a good one let me know.

I did think of a verse that could apply so added it here.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity
under Heaven:

Sounds like you all had a great time. I was reading Psalm 13 and verse 6 says "I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me".
I think that probably was a thought you had the day you spent with your daughters and granddaughter.

I like Connie's verse. I couldn't find one. I'm glad you had such a fun birthday and sisters day!

"Rejoice with exceeding great joy!"
Matt. 13, I think. I like that verse (even though this is just a part of it) and I like the song about it. I can envision myself riding a happy camel when I hear that song. Hahahaha!

I love your wreath and am green with envy that I could not be there. You girls have all the fun!

Good verses everyone, I did think of another one later. Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time of everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
