Michigan does have its moments of beauty

Since everybody else is showing the beauty of Michigan at this time of year, I had to add my pictures from a day road trip we took a few days ago.

We found most of the color inland and away from the coast line of Lake Michigan.

We walked these steps near a place called the high roll away 274 of them. Good work out and built up an appetite.

Our road trip took us just a few miles north and then we ended up in a small town called Rockford, where some of the best color was, with more reds than anywhere else.

This was a cool find as we walked one of the nature trails. A huge wasp nest hanging just a few feet above the trail.

The maples are stunning with the reds that absolutely glowed.

This was an easy trail and we walked it leisurely to enjoy the last day with warmer temps and clear skies. Its been raining ever since and the leaves are falling fast.
Always a joy to take in the splendor of God's handi work
