Number 1 and number 2 daughters that is....
That is what I often refer to as my two girls, they are only 13 months apart but like salt and pepper when it comes to personality. Number one obviously is first Born and the other second, so now you know.
My second daughter is currently in Guatemala on her first mission trip, with a group of 11 ladies from the church she has just recently been going to. Daughter number 2 has had a difficult road to travel the last few years with not to many in between of smooth sailing. Mostly brought on by bad choices on her part but she has finally given her life over to Christ and the miracles God has rained down on her are to many to write about. Oh yes, the evil one has made several attempts to cause her to side step, become discouraged, question her new belief but, at the same time another miracle, someone has been there to encourage her in the right direction each time.
She has managed to stop smoking, sever ties with relations ships that lead to destruction, and make a 360 degree turn around in her walk with Jesus. She is back to her bubbly self, filled with the joy of the Lord. She leaves lasting impressions on anyone she meets, has been a big influence on her own children and I just know this trip will increase her growth, but at the same time cause her to be humbled in ways that nothing else can.
All this to ask all my blogger friends to say a little prayer for the team as they administer to orphans at a place called "Hanna's Hope" that they will be safe, remain healthy and return home without mishaps. She did call me the other day to say they arrived safely and without a hitch, having all their belongings, Bibles and items taken for the children in the orphanage in tack and not even questioned at customs. That is a miracle right there, just another confirmation that this trip was meant to be. They will be returning later next week, so I will make sure to keep you updated.
