You Know we need to PRAY!!!

I get an email from the Presidential Prayer Team, on a regular basis, I've been getting it since President Bush was in office during his first four years. If you want to find out more you can go here PrayerTeam@presidentialprayerteam.net.
Anyway the letter I got recently is encouraging us as believers to pray now for the up and coming National Day of Prayer on May 7Th.
Can there be a more needful time than now for us to unite in intercession for our nation??

• More people are in unemployment lines today in the U.S. than in over 20 years..
• Our economy remains in intensive care, seemingly on the verge of flat lining..
• More of our troops are going to Afghanistan, while there's increasing unrest in Pakistan and uncertainty in Iraq..
• President Obama and his administration are dealing with some of our greatest challenges in generations.

All that is true. Yet because of prayer, we know something else is equally true- that we serve a sovereign God who remains in control, orchestrating events according to His loving will, and is working daily in the lives of President Obama and all our leaders serving us in Washington D.C. Working in their lives- because we pray.

We have alot to pray about as we think about the United States of America, our families our future and next generations to come. Providing the Lord doesn't come first but in the mean time we need to be united in prayer for all of these things and to remember to the National day of Prayer that is coming in May. Christrians need to be bold and heard so the World will know who Jesus is..
