SLOW COOKING THURSDAY

Sandra over at diary of a stay at home mom, hosts slow cooking thursday each week and has lots of good recipes cooking so check them out for yourself.

I'm not a regular participant but once in awhile I jump in. This is so easy its ridiculous but that's what I'm all about easy, with no fuss and very little muss.

Start out with a good size roast, you can use beef or pork what ever you choose. Just make sure it will fit in the crock pot. Dump in two small cans of V-8 juice or as you can see I used a generic brand. Add one packet of onion soup mix, once again I used the less expensive brand. I'm all for saving a penny here and there. Put the cover on and set on high for 4 hours or low for 6. If you use a real large piece of meat it may require a cooking longer.
The smell is heavenly and it will give you plenty of juice to make gravy.
I like to serve this with mashed potatoes, a veggie of choice and some crusty bread.
Enjoy!!!
