And then there is the GI flu bug

Oh yeah, we have the flu at my work place and we have miserable people. This is a tough one that doesn't want to leave. Since Monday we have had several with nausea, vomiting , and yeah, you guessed it the Hersey squirts! Sorry We have staff that are working and suddenly running through the halls to the nearest restroom and then directly to their cars to get as quickly as possible to the safe refuse of their beds at home. Visitors have been almost nil, (which is good) and the sign on the door has been a big help to keep the general public informed of the bugs floating around.
Our dietitian has changed the menu to one that is digestive friendly and more is less these days.
My heart is going out to these little people who have next to nothing to fight with, the aged have very poor physical resources
Families are saying to us, "but they got the flu shot why are they getting the flu"??? What most people don't understand about the flu shot is, it is generally for upper respiratory infections and is limited to only certain strains at that. No protection against the GI tract here.
We are disinfecting everything and praying that this to shall pass soon. I do wish we could open the windows to let in the cleansing fresh air of winter. Sigh....say a pray for these souls that this soon is over its not been a picnic.

It seems to hit every year, and it's never any fun. I'm praying it's over soon. I love the new header picture!

Butt Juice is what we call it! That is not fun! I hope that all goes well soon and that no more fluids will fly!
