Christian Citizenship

The election is just around the corner and I have a few things to say about voting I don't want to offend anyone but this is something I just have to get out & hope anyone reading it will prayerfully consider their vote on Nov. 4th.

Christians must vote for honest men & women, politics is a part of religion in such a country as this & Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. He will bless or curse this nation according to the course they take in politics.

America & indeed the rest of the world is in the midst of momentous changes. We are in grave danger at the present, our culture is changing. We can't solve moral problems with more policy. In an election there are many things to consider but when society gets abortion, same-sex marriages, embryonic stem cell research, and human cloning to name a few on their agenda, then wrong economic concerns soon will not matter. God will not bless any of those issues.
It can not be emphasized to strongly or to often that this great nation was founded, not by religions but by Christians not on religion but on the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Would you be able to look in the face of God one day & tell Him you voted for someone who will continue to support partial birth abortions, or push for homosexual rights, when you knew God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for those very reasons?? Someone with this liberal thinking can only bring one thing to this country & that is judgement from a just God. The economy is stressed to be sure but someone whose voting record has earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the U.S. senate & placing that person in the executive office of this country is not the answer to our economic situation. It would only add to the continued downfall of a great nation. Christians need to unite, & get out there to vote for the person who is at least on the side of moral integrity. I believe the economy will make a turn around if we vote on Biblical principals & the true foundations that our country was founded on.
If the wrong person is elected we can only blame ourselves & we will deserve what we get. God is ultimately in control but we need to make a stand on the side of righteousness.

You are exactly right, Nancy. I guess you and I are among the brave ones speaking up. And I can think of a few others. I feel like I need to do something, besides praying, that is.
Your new picture is pretty.

Hi Nancy, I'm over from Susan's blog. Thought I'd come by and introduce myself! I enjoyed this post. I'm so praying for the scales to be lifted from the eyes of the people. That we'll not be emotionally driven, or moved by chrisma, but by the Spirit of God.
God bless,
Brenda :)

I've enjoyed reading your thoughts, and I agree with you! I am praying and trying to reach as many people as possible to pray with me! I just don't understand Christians being so blind to these truths!

I also have a prayer blog about the election if you would like to see it Power of Prayer:

You certainly have a negative view of God. Is God really someone who believes gay people are lesser humans? That's not the message I take away from the New Testament. As for stem cell research and human cloning, I am unaware of any Biblical references to these.
