A walk in the park

We are so fortunate to live in an area that has so many nice parks with trails to walk & enjoy God's creation in nature.
This is only one of them near by that we haven't been to before so it was new territory for us. Some how we seem to find the ones with tons of steps, but I'm just grateful that we are both physically able to take the challenge. There is a certain amount of curosity to see what is at the top or the other side, so off we went. First we made it up these then.......

Then we had these to drag ourselves up, finally getting to a platform on top of a dune that looked out over Lake Michigan, but the pictures I took of the water didn't turn out very well.

This is what Sweet man looked like after the first series of stairs but he is a trooper. I think he was gasping for air in this picture. It sure was nice of the people who built the stairway to put little bench's to sit a spell and catch your breath.

The weather was super this year at least for us in Michigan, but let's not forget to remember those who are dealing with what's left of another hurricane. Lift them in prayer as they go through the clean up process.

You do find the best places - it looks like a pretty park but I want to see the view from the top! :)

I agree with Mari. Where is the view from the top? Looks like quite the hike. Glad you both are healthy and able to do that too.
