Labor Day weekend

Oh My Gosh!!! I can believe it is the end of summer can you??? Where did it go anyway!!! I guess when reflecting on it we really did have some nice weather and most of us had some time away or doing things that we like to do so what more can we ask for right???

I love the fall season but not the one that follows that, winter for me is the pits but than to each his own as someone in my family says often.

Anyway I just want to wish you all a great and safe holiday week-end and don't labor to much.

You do know that this holiday originated in 1882 as the central labor union sought to create a day off for the working citizens. Congress made it a federal holiday in 1894 and has since been celebrated the first Monday in September.
Have a good one and don't forget to Praise God for all we have each and every day!!!

Have a great day off on Monday - I'll be laboring, but hopefully not too hard!

Have a great weekend yourself!

You gotta live by the day, take it as it comes, and do what you can do!!!!!!

Remember who said that?

I love summer too and that's one of the reasons that I refuse to say it's over until September 21st. I NEED to hang on to it for as long as I can. Thanks for the reminder about "labor day". We did finish reading a book "Sister in Time" in that time and have moved on to 1893.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. Of course I meant to wish you a great weekend too. What is your favorite, favorite part of summer. For me, it's the beautiful weather AND all of the fun.
