Easter Lily's

Don't you find that the spring flowers just automatically put a smile on your face and give a warm fuzzy to the heart?

I received this beauty from my sweet man for Easter. He always finds the best ones, this one has eight buds and several of the are open, giving off the most lovely fragrance to the entire room.

Did any of the rest of you get flowers or maybe chocolates? We have some friends who are well into their senior years and they admitted to us that the wife got a basket for the husband. So cute.

When my children were all home and much younger of course I always did a basket with age appropriate items but as they got older and moved out that tradition stopped.
I always made sure they understood that it wasn't the bunny or the baskets or the treats that it was all about but it was one of the family traditions for many years.

The girls were the first to leave the nest but I remember one year that my son was the only child living at home and he was about 21 at the time, I thought he was to old to receive an Easter basket but later learn that he was upset that I didn't get one for him. Go figure, you just never know... anyway flowers are the best and bring such a smile, plus they don't have any calories!!! Very big bonus there.....

Your flowers are just beautiful. I know they must smell great also. I am so glad that you had such a special time. I did with my family and just knowing that they have the same love for the Saviour that I have and that we have the same Saviour the ONE that lives today and forever, makes my heart so very happy. connie from Texas

I love lilies. I found one at my house Saturday after work and it was signed "the Easter bunny and the furry assistant" I took it to be Laura and Sophie. It's really pretty too and has pussy willows in with it.

I bought me a pot of some beautiful pansies and a primrose plant. I have been moving in and out to keep them from freezing.
The cute story about the Easter basket and your 21 year old reminded me of something cute. My mother took Easter baskets to college (once anyway) when my brothers were there! lol- I think she said the others were jealous. She used to hide our baskets and make up cute little riddles about where to find them. Your lily is beautiful, and as I've said before, you have such a sweet husband.

THat was so nice of Sweet Man to do that for you! They look very pretty. I do the baskets for the kids too. I asked Amanda if she wanted one this year and she is like "Well, YEAH!!!" Good old George! Did I tell ya, she thinks she might want to go to Cornerstone?

It's beautiful. It sounds like you have accurately named your husband!
I do the egg hunt through middle school. I got just a little something for Nick this year though because I felt bad for him.

Beautiful flower. I bought a hyacinth from church. I love the smell.
I do the egg hunt through about age 10 but I did buy 1 special egg for Chelsea and Katelyn to find - they love Cadbury mini eggs!

I got a lovely Easter lily plant from my secret prayer sister at church. It is full of buds so it will be blooming for quite a while.

I have always put out a large mixing bowl of Easter candy, with that plastic grass, for the kids. My oldest is married, and my youngest, though 24, still enjoys the bowl of candy on the table (he's mentally handicapped). My husband complains if I don't put in some of his favorites too. After a while we brought most of the left-over candy to my daughter & son-in-law's so they could enjoy it too.
