The charm of the tinkling chimes

The sun has been out all day & even though the temperature isn't real spring like the sun has warmed the house so, I opened the front door tonight and while cleaning up the kitchen after dinner I could hear the fine tinkle of the wind chimes.
I have several hanging all over the yard and deck about five in all I think, and just love to hear them as the breeze brushes through them. But my favorite one is the one in the picture, it has the honor of hanging near the front door and has the most heavenly sound as it sways in the wind. You can see why, it's an angel so it can't sound anything but beautiful.
My middle daughter gave it to me, and every time I look at it or hear it sending its sweet music through the air, I think of her.
She is my middle child with a sweet disposition and a heart the size of Texas... now that is a big heart and she would do anything for anyone, she is just that way.
I wonder does anyone else have a special gift that reminds them of a special someone??

That is a pretty windchime. I have some little ones that a special friend gave me. She loves them and has many. Maybe I need to get one of the larger more musical ones. :o)

I bet your chimes sound beautiful and that is nice that your daughter gave it to you and that you think of her when it makes sweet music for you and sweet man!
I have a few things that people gave me that makes me think of them. I have a couple lamps and a plant of a friend (co-worker) that I use to have. She died a year ago in September of a glioblastoma. I helped take care of her while she was at the nursing home I worked in and then spent many hours with her at Faith Hospice. Then I have a metal angel that Jenny (randy's sister) gave me, and I think of her when I see it. Plus, various things in the house that kids or Tom have gave me.

Ahh yes the chimes, they are all so different arent they? I have a very large one I hang on the back deck my hubby gave me. LOVE IT!! I find that when I think of a person it is always best to say a prayer for them at that time,God puts them on our hearts then. Your chimes are lovely, your daughters take after mom:)
love ya,
Deb
