I don't think I have ever experienced this in all my life but tonight as I was cleaning up the dinner dishes & looking out the window at the fluffy snow falling, suddenly I saw a huge bright light flash & thunder of all things rolled across the sky loud enough to actually vibrate the house!!! I checked out the window once again just to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me & it was really snow & not rain but sure 'nough it was that beautiful white fluffy stuff that was coming down & had already covered the ground to the tune of maybe an inch or so.. As I stood looking out at the delicate fluff, another round of thunder rumbled across the roof top after a brief snap of lightening.. All I could think of at the time is, God sure has a great sense of humor & can choose any kind of weather He wants to display at any time of the year!!! Ain't that just the coolest??? Bad grammar, I know but sometimes that is the only way to express just the point one wants to convey...

We saw and heard it too. Saw the flash, said "what was that" and then there was thunder! When I was coming home, it looked like it was snowing in my headlights but nothing was on my windshield and as I passed Town Hall in was 42 degrees. Weird Michigan weather!
Ditto!! Yes that was really strange. Hey it's Michigan,who knows tomorrow we may see a rainbow! God is sooo cool!!
That is totally weird, but isn't that just like God to do something so amazing and unexpected like that.
Love the snow pics...it is bright and sunny (and hot!) here in South Florida. But, I hear we have a "cold" front coming through this weekend...yippee!
Wasn't it wierd!? I was in my room and all a sudden I heard this rumble of thunder and it just kept going and going and going! What in the world? I thought it was snowing not raining! I guess it's God's sense of humor, like you said!!!!
Was that thunder snow or something like that? We didn't really see too much of that, here in "my neck of the woods" You lucky guys always seem to get the worst of the weather!
OH I'm so glad some of you heard it to, now I know I wasn't just hearing things.... Yup, God has a really good sense of humor!!!
We didn't hear it over by us. But this morning when I went out to scrape my car off, it was "raining" big blobs of slush. But when I got to work which is only about 12 minutes away, it was just dainty little snowflakes falling down. The weather can be so different just from mile to mile sometimes!
Yeah- that was really strange last night. That lightning was a little too close to my house for comfort!
It sure was beautiful outside this morning though!
I have to agree that that was weird... I have never heard thunder in the midst of a snow...
When I lived in the midwest, we used to have snow thunder a lot. It is quite freaky!
It was the strangest thing! After that happened I sat by the window with my camera in hand to see if I could get a picture of the lightning and snow! Yeah, right!!!!
lol, yes, it IS the coolest, Nancy. And it is not "mother nature", as they so frequently annoy me with on my Fox channel, who is doing it!

It isn't often that you get snow and thunder and lightning, but it has happened in my neck of the woods as well.
