Talk about strenous!!!

We took a little walk today & it was beautiful. We are blessed to live near the big lake & this little park has trails that lead to the lake, the only problem is to get to the lake you have to get over the dunes first. As you can see by the stairs we had to climb it is not for the faint of heart.

You can see "sweet man" half way up the second set of steps, he kept going when I stopped to snap a few pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous & we were the only ones walking the trails today so it was very peaceful.

The view from the top is breath taking & the roar from the pounding waves got louder & louder as we neared the lake. The waves today were pretty big maybe about 3-4 footers with a good stiff wind blowing in our faces. In the last picture you can see the final challenge, once down by the water you have only one way back, which is up allllll those stairs in the last picture. I forgot just how many steps there are all total I think over 700. I have always said, if you can make it all the way to the lake & back to the parking lot you can walk just about any where with no problem. It is a real work out for sure. This was the first time I did it this year, & "sweet man" is on his second time already for this year.... I think we are on a fitness kick at least for today...the whole walk is only 7 tenths of a mile each way, but gives one a sense of accomplishment to complete it & it is a good workout. No treadmill for me today, this was enough...Time well spent with my favorite friend.

That is a workout! But, what a view! It's sure a nicer walk than you would get on a treadmill! (and you had good company!)

Just looking at all those stairs makes my tired! I hope this wind is blowing in warmer air!

Can't believe you two were out climbing around in all that snow! I wanted to use the word "trapezing", but didn't know how to spell it! Maybe that's it? Anyway, you did get lots of exercise. Good for you.

I love to look at beautiful pictures like that. It must have been a joy to be out in it, but I don't think I could have done all that.

What a great work-out. I'm not at all sure I could do it.

Thanks for stopping by today and for your prayers for the little tiny babies coming tomorrow.
