When my husband & I first got married I dragged him through the nearby Christmas tree farms seeking out the "just right tree to decorate" for Christmas. This would take at least a minimum of half the day. Usually we (I) would pick a day that was snowing & blowing with temps in the single figures so you can imagine the frustration that he felt & (must admit) I sometimes felt when we couldn't find the "just right tree" even after traipsing the entire tree farm, only to end up cutting one of the first trees we saw, then hauling, dragging & trying to fit the darn thing in or on what ever vehicle we had with us. Not to mention the scrapes & scratches we both endured through this procedure.

Now, here comes the good part, about 2 years ago "sweet man" had been shopping & came home all beaming & exclaimed he had found the "perfect tree" for us. So, off we went for my approval, sure enough it did in fact look like just the solution to the dilemma of putting up a tree.

As you see in the top picture it is about 3-4 feet in height, when it is taken out of the box it is actually less then 2 feet, but once it is plugged in you push the button & it begins to rise, decorations, berries, bows, poinsettias, babbles, lights & all into a 6 1/2 foot wonder of a tree!!!. The whole process taking only the time to haul it out of storage, getting it out of the box, finding the spot of honor to display such a wonder, plugging it in & walk away.
Of course you have to hide the cords & tweak it here & there, fluffing the bows just a little, & add a skirt around the bottom & admire it.

Some of you designer folks may think it is a bit un Christmas to have such a thing in your home but even me being the die hard I was to getting artificial anything this saves a bunch of time, energy, & hassles & I(we) can spend more time relaxing sipping on our hot cup of coffee or chocolate & sighing a bit of relief from the hustle & bustle of the season.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!

I think you're smarter than the rest of us Nancy - you've figured out how to actually relax and enjoy the season!
Now that really is amazing, your tree does all that! I don't blame you, who needs all that hassle. I gave up live trees long ago. And now I just have a small artificial tree that suits me just fine. :o)
