Works for Me Wednesday

OK, I have to say that the original Dawn dish soap is the only & I mean one & only one that I ever use, when washing dishes by hand, which I don't do to often because of the good ole' dish washer but I always keep dawn on hand, it cuts the grease better than any other & also makes a good soak out stains on clothes before throwing them in the washer. Now since I burned my brain on thinking up other tips I'm posting them as well below......

Every week I rack my brain for the little things I do that I can use on works for me Wednesday & this week I came up with a couple of cool things that I can pass along.

If you run out of sour cream, & need a substitute try this it works great & no one will ever know the difference. Whip 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice in a blender. If the mixture is too thick, add milk, one teaspoon at a time until you have the consistency you want. I've also substituted plain yogurt for the sour cream but most people don't have plain yogurt on hand

I got this next tip out of a magazine that I get & it really works well for stains on your carpet & its easy to make & keep on hand. It's amazing all the things vinegar can do. Mix one tablespoon of distilled white vinegar in a cup of hot water, put it in a spray bottle, lightly spray on the stain, & wipe with a clean cloth. Much cheaper than those store bought kind & its probably one of those "green" things that everyone is talking about...

There will be many more tips & favorite products at, Rocks in my Dryer so check it out

Lots of good tips! I like Dawn too, but do occasionally use other brands.

You were not the only person to recommend Faded Glory jeans! If they fit and I like them, I don't really care where they came from! :) thanks for the suggestion!
