It is good to live in the valley sweet,
Where the work of the world is done,
Where the reapers sing in the fields of wheat,
And work till the setting of the sun.
Where the noises of the traffic cease,
And I follow a Voice who calls out to me
From the hilltop regions of peace.
Yes, to live is sweet in the valley fair,
And to work till the setting of the sun;
But my spirit yearns for the hilltop's air
When the day and its work are done.
For a Presence breathes o'er the silent hills,
And its sweetness is living yet;
The same deep calm all the hilside fills,
As breathed over Olivet.
Every life that desires to be strong must have its "Most Holy Place" into which only God enters. I find that the mountains make my soul sing with praises to the the Most High God!!

I love this picture. I am so often amzed by God's creation and the variety of beauty around us!
I love this old house. I have no idea where Crystal is though? North, south, east, west? Just curious!
Sweet blessings!
Renee
Renee, Crystal is actually a ghost town but people live there in the summer months. It is high up a rugged road that only quads or 4 wheel drive vehicles can go on. This picture is of an old mill that produced electricity for miners in the 1800's the major city near by is Carbondale.
